Rohan Spong was born in Melbourne, Australia. His work spans a variety of mediums and film forms.

Rohan graduated from the University of Melbourne's School of Studies in Creative Arts, with Honours. To date, he has made a dozen shorts, a short feature, some music videos, animations, an installation, projection for theatre and a selection of documentary works. He has dabbled in everything from Super 8mm to computer generated graphics and HD.

He cites some of his favourate works as being Grey Gardens, Jesus Camp, Goodnight and Good Luck, The Lion in Winter, Summer of Sam, Metropolis, Som of Rambow, Little Fish, Picnic at Hanging Rock, Network and Junebug. He will gladly quote the filthier lines from John Waters' Serial Mom over wine / sake.

He hopes that his documentary feature T is for Teacher inspires viewers to empathise and identify with some remarkable women, and that his film work in general presents his audience with a range of new and exciting territories.
